Heredia: Williams is commiting suicide by trying to join Sundowns
Goalkeeper coach Alex Heredia says a move to star-studded Mamelodi Sundowns might be suicidal to Ronwen Williams’ Bafana Bafana career.
“In my opinion Sundowns already have many goalkeepers, four goalkeepers hey,” Heredia told the media.
“From the economical point of view probably yes, but from a football point of view, he will have to compete with too many goalkeepers.
“But again Ronwen he’s quality and he’s a young goalkeeper.
“I understand he likes the challenge but in my opinion, he should stay with Supersport United you know. It’s career suicidal by placing money over your career.
“But from an economical point of view going to Sundowns will be a better move for him, there’s no doubt about it.
