POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT AFTER ARMED ROBBERY AT USAVE STORE IN XIHOKO

XIHOKO, LIMPOPO – Police have initiated a manhunt following a daring armed robbery at the Usave store in Xihoko village on Thursday, 7 August 2025.

According to eyewitness accounts, four armed suspects entered the store during business hours and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects, all wearing hats and reportedly communicating in Zulu and Tswana, moved directly toward the tills upon entering.

One of the assailants was seen pointing a firearm at store staff, demanding cash from the registers. Although no shots were fired and no injuries were reported, customers and employees were left shaken by the ordeal.

“They didn’t hurt anyone, but it was terrifying,” said a customer who was inside the store during the incident.

Following the robbery, the suspects fled the scene. The store was temporarily closed as police arrived to collect evidence and interview staff and witnesses.

Limpopo SAPS spokesperson confirmed that a case of business robbery has been opened and that investigations are underway. No arrests have been made at this stage.
