
Police Launch Murder Investigation After Woman Found Dead in Dan Village
DAN VILLAGE, LIMPOPO – 14 May 2025 — Police have opened a murder investigation following the discovery of a woman’s body near a liquor outlet in the Dan Extension area of Bindzulani on Tuesday, 13 May 2025.
According to Limpopo police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, officers were on routine patrol at approximately 11:11 a.m. when they received a report of a possible murder in the area. They responded swiftly and were guided by a male witness to the scene, where they found the lifeless body of a 30-year-old woman.
Preliminary reports indicate that the victim had sustained a stab wound to the neck. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were called to the scene but unfortunately declared the woman dead on arrival.
“At this stage, the motive behind the killing is unknown and no arrests have been made,” said Colonel Ledwaba.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is appealing to members of the public who may have any information that could assist in the investigation to come forward.
