Reality TV Star Themba Broly Implicated in Violent Altercation That Left Music Producer Hospitalized

Controversial reality TV personality Themba Broly Mabaso, known for his stint on Big Brother Mzansi Season 3, is making headlines once again—this time for his alleged involvement in a violent series of events that left renowned music producer Nicey Beatz hospitalized.
According to eyewitnesses, a photoshoot for a new music video involving Themba, Nicey Beatz, and other entertainment figures took place in Maboneng, Johannesburg, last Saturday. After wrapping up around 4 a.m., the group headed to Nicey’s apartment to offload video footage. It was during this time that things reportedly spiraled out of control.
A close friend of the group, who was present during the night, claims that Themba, allegedly intoxicated, began harassing a woman outside the apartment. When confronted, he became aggressive and later engaged in a violent altercation with another man. “Themba beat the guy so badly, we thought he wouldn’t survive,” the friend recounted. “We tried to stop him, but he overpowered us.”
Themba reportedly fled the scene after the assault.
Later that morning, at approximately 11 a.m., Nicey was alone at his apartment when a group of about 15 men—one of whom was allegedly the man Themba had assaulted—arrived at his door. They demanded Themba’s whereabouts and turned violent when Nicey, who had no answers for them, stepped outside. According to the witness, the group dragged Nicey to the building’s reception area and assaulted him.
“He was beaten so badly that he required immediate medical attention and lost a lot of blood,” the source said. “There was no security at the time, and when help finally arrived, the attackers had already done the damage.”
Speaking exclusively to Buzz Life News, Nicey Beatz expressed his anger and disappointment. “I’m known for being peaceful. I tried to defuse a situation and ended up paying the price. I haven’t been able to work since the incident,” he said. Nicey has since obtained a J88 medical form and plans to file charges with the Jeppe Police Station.
This isn’t Themba Broly’s first brush with controversy. He has previously been involved in nightclub brawls and was recently in the spotlight following a public breakup with Big Brother Season 3 winner Mphowabadimo, the mother of his youngest child. In past statements, Mphowabadimo said their relationship was riddled with drama and negatively impacted her professional reputation. “I even lost work because of the scandals he dragged into my name,” she said. “I’ve been quiet, but I will never forget.”
As the entertainment industry reacts to the latest incident, many are calling for accountability and hoping justice will be served.
