TZANEEN – Police are on the lookout for two female suspects who were caught on camera allegedly stealing a Huawei Nova 12i smartphone from a local boutique in the Tzaneen CBD on Friday, 2 May 2025.
The incident occurred at Purple Sun Boutique, located near NYDA and the Greater Tzaneen Municipality (GTM) offices. The suspects entered the store pretending to shop for clothes. When they left, the cellphone was missing.
To make matters worse, it is alleged that the pair also used counterfeit money to purchase some clothing items.
The victim has since opened a case at Tzaneen Police Station, and the matter is under investigation.
