TZANEEN: A burglar was caught red-handed while stealing laptops from a car at the Tzaneen Mall parking lot on Friday afternoon.
The victim who preferred not to be named told Tzaneen Voice that they were alerted by a loud alarm when they were approaching their car.
“Please warn people to be vigilant at Tzaneen Mall parking, someone was found stealing 2 laptops inside my husband’s car luckily we were alerted by a car alarm, said the victim “
“My husband chased the suspect by foot and he managed to throw the stolen laptop away. The security guards became aware of the chase and managed to catch him, the victim added.”
The suspect was apprehended and handed over to the Tzaneen Police station.
The suspect was found in possession of five bank cards and one from SASSA which are believed to be stolen from his victims.
